Anika Kate Brown is a Utah-based artist that focuses on the use of oil paints on linen, glass, and found objects. Born in Sacramento, California, Anika moved to Utah to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Brigham Young University and graduated in 2023. As an artist, Anika is interested in transparency, change and transitions. After developing chronic illness and undergoing brain surgery, Anika began to explore the intersection between the inner and external experiences of the body. Her present projects are concerned with the intersection between our internal worlds and external experiences.
