Anika Brown addresses disability and pain in her oil paintings and mixed media installations. She draws from her experience with chronic illness and her recovery following a brain surgery in 2019. 

Anika uses oil paint, glass, transparent layers, medical imagery and devices. ​She hopes that her work can create a sense of community and understanding.

Anika has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Brigham Young University. She is currently based in Utah.
